monday 22nd may

I had the morning all planned out, and then Rita rang just as I'd just got in from dropping Lucy off, so the best laid plans of mice and men went out of the window. I went and met her for a coffee, and then she came back to mine and we had another coffee. It was at about this point that I noticed the kitchen floor badly needed a sweep and mop. Why is it that people always come round when the house needs a bit of a clean, and at other times when everything is as shiney as a new pin there is nobody to see it?
Went to pick up the Mook, and committed the heinous crime of arriving without any juice, so I was deafened all the way home with her shrieks of disapproval. It will be a while before I make that mistake again (and a while before my hearing returns to normal!). Spent the afternoon pottering about the house as it was very hot outside again. Far to hot to do the ironing infact, so me and Lucy shared an ice-pop and played with some of her books before tea.
