Friday 19th May

Woke up rather tired, as I knew I would. (Nothing new there!) When I went downstairs, I thought that we had either been burgled, or, the beer badgers had been round. As it turns out neither of these flights of the imagination. Only Lucy pulling every available toy out of various toy recepticles, yesturday. I would have dearly embraced an extra hour in my beddy-byes, but no point lamenting, 'cos it was never to be!!
Completed the usual Friday malarky, which I am becoming frustrated with. God!! I HATE the Mercadona! I vehemently wish that there was a Tesco or Asda big normal shop down the road so that I could dodge the endless aisles of tinned tomatoes and peppers. When I get back home to good old Blighty, I think my mother thinks I am crazy for loitering in every aisle, but I am simply bedazzled by the choice (and variety!) of every item. I can, or course, go to Iceland situated on the Golf Del Sur. Its stocks some necessities (like crumpets, Mr Kippling french fancies and Marmite) it is also full of ready meals, everything at vastly increased prices, blah! blah! Good for magazines though.
Hop came back from the dentist with his tooth fixed, so no more egg tooth (or stamping about in the morning going where the @#$% is my tooth? Usually having been left in the most ridiculous of places) End of an era really. Anyway, he was grumpy but came back with an English sausage roll which I promptly warmed in the microwave so that it went abit squashy and laced it with HP sauce (which surprisingly can be found in the Mercadona!) Yum!
Had the ubiquitous chinese takeaway for tea. The girls insisted on the tinned strwberries and cream for afters, which their dad had bought back from Iceland instead of the fresh ones I already had already got earlier in the Mercadona earlier Yuechhh! They always make me think of red slugs. Anyway, each to his (or her) own. (All the more for me!)
