Wednesday 17th May

No leaky surprises to start the day, today and the sun was already out when we left the house this morning. Two hours of spanish grammar, and then off to collect the Mook. Lucky little monkey got a double dose of park time today as I had to take back the dvds from the other night, and the car park is situated right next to a park. Infact, totting up the number of parks and play areas that I can think of, I know of seven within the town of Adeje, so a different one for every day of the week. As you can see from the picture, Lucy enjoyed herself until it was time to get some lunch.(I was absolutely famished, Lucy was ok, because her kind mummy had picked up a cereal bar along with the prerequisite of juice.)
Spent a lot of the afternoon playing with Lucy's farm house thingy. It makes farmyard noises, so much to mook mirth, when the farmers bed is pressed it makes snoring noises and I pretend to go to sleep, so she then presses it again to make the cock crowing noise, and I have to wake up. If I don't, she prises my eyelids open with her vice like little fingers, and it is much better for my eyes if I comply.
Made tasty chicken and red pepper kebabs and couscous for tea, which is always popular, before the second dose of park. I couldn't believe how far she insisted on walking...all the way, which is good 15mins or pretty much all up hill. I was expecting her to flake out when we got there, but she she had a good runabout, lots of slide, before we came home.
As I had a hot sticky baby, I let her play in the bath while I pedicured by feet in the bidet (a much better use than it was intended for), before bed. After which I settled down to a spot of indulgence downstairs with the Divine secrets of the YaYas, and Stepford Wives. Hop was quite happy playing record shop on the computer upstairs, and I wasn't about to remind him that the European cup final was on. (No need to turn on the television to find out the score, as lots of noise from neighbours across the road every time Barcelona scored, and I thought that they were going to go into orbit at the end of the match!) Lots of bangers were let off, as well as car horns atooting etc. Good job they didn't wake the slumbering Mook, else there really would have been an unholy racket!
