I have noticed on my lengthy walks around Adeje to deposit and collect the Mook from nursery that there is an army of Council workers out disinfecting, scrubbing and then power hosing the pavements down. I'm mildly curious as to why, because even though it has been a long, hot and dusty summer, with only one occasion where it has rained since about May, it'll start raining soon enough. They've even scrubbed the park. If we were in England I would assume that the arrival of some important dignitary was imminent, a bit like in Alice in Wonderland when the cards paint the garden. Here, who knows! Loud exclamations from the Mook of 'wet mess!'
