Tuesday 19th September

I let the Mook skive nursery today, and let her stay asleep until she woke, as we had a rough night with lots of coughing. I ended up sleeping in her bed, as it was the only way to get her to settle. Her cough has pretty much gone in the daytime now though, although she wasn't up to full speed, and had a long doze on the sofa this afternoon. Rather grumpy when she woke up though, so I decided that a bit of fresh air would do us both good, and we set off to the Cultural Centre via the park.
Ever since Monday, when it was raining slightly and I put her little pink spotty rainmac on her to go to nursery, she has been inseparable from it, and insisted that it was placed over her legs whilst sat in the Mookmobile, hence the photos of odd-kid playing in the park. All the other kids are running around in shorts and vests, and Lucy has her rainmac on with the zip and hood up. I couldn't face the fuss and palava of trying to get it off her, and she was happy in her sweet little way.
Managed to get enrolled on the Spanish course, and Lucy sat very stll and quietly whilst she was thoroughly investigated by a very round dimply baby who looked as though she had not long learned to walk and was at the 'what will happen if I grab/pull/yank this?' stage. (Thankfully the baby yanked the pushchair, and not the Mook)
A random collection of woman all waiting for the admissions office to open, and all, with the exception of me, were done up to the nines. I felt very scruffy as I had what Hop calls my 'work' trousers on, which are a pair of combats with a bit of bleach down the front, and my comfiest ever flip flops which are starting to look battered. I was also aware of the grubby state of Lucy's pushchair, and have resolved to do something about it tomorrow.
Had a chat to my sis who was busy making Toad-in-the-Hole, which is my favourite dinner, and watched Vanity Fair, as Hop was watching something violent in his den.

It's the one you got her. It's getting a bit short in the sleeves now, but it has proved extremely useful! XX
