Sunday 17th September
Strange old day. Felt decidely ropey for most of the morning, although can't really offer an explanation as to why, except perhaps it was my solar powered energy core running abit low.(Sunday is a bit of a misnomer today, as there is no sun) Perked up a bit in the afternoon, and me and the Mook went for some fresh air in the park, alhtough I think it is safe to say that we were both still lacklustre.
A nice easy evening as I made tea yesturday (beef casseroled with red wine, onions, garlic, carrots and bay, with jacket potatoes done properly in the oven with a little olive oil and salt, and steamed green beens) I ate mine, although the mook only picked, and appears to be sickening with a cold. (Snotty nose and lots of tishes!) She conked out about 6, so I let her have 40 winks before I woke her up, and I managed to get her bathed and in her jammies before the Antiques Roadshow started. Still on clips of their great finds, but next week it is in Gloucester Cathedral which is a beautiful building and one of the finest examples of late Gothic perpendicular to be found anywhere, I think. Not sure if they will find anything interesting in Gloucester though, apart from the cathedral.
Hop came home and spent most of the evening in bed (let sleeping dogs lie, I say!)so I watched Seabiscuit, a fairly corny but none the less enjoyable film about a racehorse and jockey who both had a bit of a rough ride, not to mention the trainer and owner, although everybody had a happy ending as well as lashings of the American dream to (riding)boot. (Arghhh! The dreaded riding boot!)
Went to bed to find a very snuffy Mook already in there, so I had to coax her out and find some water for her and settle her down in her own bed before I could get in mine.

Bless little tishy mook. She's obviously sussed that your bed is comfier than hers! Mums' beds always are when you're a kid...
specially when you're poorly.
