Wednesday 7th June

Went shopping for Nat's birthday present earlier, and found the ideal gift, so much so that I want it (surely the sign of a good present when you'd like to keep it for yourself!) Also went into the bargain basement Mango in San Eugenio and found a couple of T shirts, both for only 5 euros each so I treated myself.
Later on we went for a birthday dinner for Dean, with Greta and their children, Alex and Greta's sister,boyfriend and daughter. We went back to Rincon de Arranda and even sat in the same place, although we were a bit better behaved where the wine was concerned. I think that all the kids warded off the hovering waiters, and I managed to get home without loosing any shoes this time!
Lucy behaved impeccably, despite not having a sleep on the way back from the park today. (Normally I have to sing to her to make her keep her eyes open and trust me, my singing would wake up Rip Van Winkle) It was really lovely to see how Dean's kids were with her, all wanting to feed her tidbits, and make her laugh, which she did. She was a bit timid at first but they were so good with her that they won her over, and Zeta rocked her to sleep in her pushchair. I worry sometimes that the Mook is a tad on the shy side where other kids are concerned, but she was brilliant this evening, and really enjoyed herself. All in all a very pleasant evening, and its great to see Lucy starting to make friends and be confident around other kids.
