Saturday 3rd June

Mook was the first up this morning at 7.30. Unfortunately nobody told her about the plan, so it was bokbok and coffee as per usual, except she wanted to come downstairs to get it. Quite nice to be sat in the kitchen, collecting my thoughts peacefully. I have a thing for Lavender at the moment, and have some L'Occitane lavander handcream which I put on my hands last thing at night, as well as a lavender air freshener thingy on top of the wardrobe so I've been having some crazy dreams the last few nights, but sleeping really well. Hop's plan worked, and the other two didn't wake up until about 9.30 which meant I could have a shower without somebody hammering on the bathroom door for their breakfast.
We went to check out the riding school with the girls and I have to say I was very impressed. Its amazing how different the view of Las Americas looks from a different angle, and you could see the marina at Puerto Colon really well. It was just so nice to be out in the fresh air, up high with acres of countryside and banana plantations around. If they don't enjoy it, I think that I'll bang their heads together, and me and Lucy can go instead!
Took Amy and Lucy for a play in our complex, whilst Emma sulked in her bedroom (are the teenage years coming early?) Ended up chatting to my dutch neighbour who has three kids, and she has had a nightmare with some older spanish kids picking on her little girl, who is about 4. When she confronted the parents, their response was that their children wouldn't behave like this. Understandably she was a bit cross.
Cooked a nice dinner but unfortunately there was some confusion because I hadn't realised that Hop had football, as he didn't say anything when he took the girls back and by the time he came home I'd portioned it up and stuck his in the freezer. (Makes a change from leaving it in the oven!)
