Saturday 3rd february
I always think about my nan on this day, as it would have been her birthday. I think that she would have been 94 this year, although this might be not be right. i think her words for lucy would have been somewhere along the lines of (imagine strong Suffolk accent) 'Ooh! isn't that marvelous!'
We went to watch Hop play football. (Yawn!), although it was also a fund raiser for his friend who has been sick in Hospital, although is thankfully much better now. Lucy had a great time with the other kids who were all playing hide and seek in a long thin alley, with only one hiding place....the toilets. Still, this kept them amused for 3 or so hours, although I'm not sure how. Maybe it had more to do with running around and shrieking, more than actually hiding. Anyway, she was delighted to be let off the maternal strings, and be the littlest in the kid gang.
Not so great in the middle of the night, as Lucy was sick down herself and in her bed, which I then got up and stripped, and then she came into ours and threw up, so I had another set of pyjammas and bed clothes to wash , with a final assault about 5.30, which luckily was over the side. A very poorly little chick indeed.
