Friday 2nd february
Amy's birthday party was over at Brinco's with assorted kids running about. Much mayhem with the usual suspects, with the addition of a couple of Amy's school friends, Ellen's kids and Roisine and her Mum. Lucy had a whale of a time, although I have to say my heart was in my mouth when there was a croud of ten little girls, ranging in age from 11 to just under 3 descending down a big inflatible slide, all together, shrieking their heads off. The bar (parental spectator area) was quite a distance away, and I was nervously counting heads as they all got up to run up the bouncy steps again.
Amys present was a DS Nintendo, (pink!) which kept both her and Emma quiet once they arrived home, although this was largely due to the fact that Emma was playing on it, and Amy was watching, in awe. An expensive present, with conditions imposed, such as no taking to school, no breaking/trashing etc, blah blah blah!. I had to laugh quietly (tee hee hee!) when I went to say 'good night!' and they were both huddled under the duvet, on the top bunk together, playing after lights out. It was nice to see them curled up together, not fighting.
