I was correct in my prediction that by the time it rains here again, the brolly will be trashed. Unfortunately one of the rivets on the end of one of the arms has broken through its hole which kept it confined to the other half of the spoke, and it is now dangling uselessly. The umbrella now has a slightly squashed assymetric look on one side (not a good look for a brolly, however cheap!). However, I daren't throw this heap of junk in the bin though, for fear of reprisals and plaintive cries of 'I NEED my brolly, Mummy!'
