Saturday 30th september
Usual saturday morning scrmble whilst Hop lay helplessly and obliviously in his bed. There was the added tension for Emma and Amy this morning of will they/won't they be able to go riding as they needed to borrow helmets form the pony club, as theirs have been left in the Jeep. (Something which was of course my fault, in the eyes of someone who will remain nameless. However, as you can imagine I had a few words to say on the subject which probably contributed to my sullen state, yesturday evening.) Luckily the pony club had spares, and the boot drama was averted by the introduction of pop-sox.
My patience had slowly been chipped away at by tea time by an unusually whiny Mook, and also probably because I knew that the siblings were all enjoying a weekend in Lowestoft whilst Doc Rontree checked out her old school pals at a reunion. I felt very nostalgic for holidays past when KT rang from the Wherry Hotel, to say they were partaking of liquid refreshment. Anyway, she has promised to be the Lowestot eye and take loads of photos for me. She has also pinched a couple of leaves from the Lion Tree to press and keep for me.
I decided to indulge in my own partaking of liquid refreshment whilst the X-factor was on, and then had to go to bed before Afterlife was on as I could only keep one eye on the tv at a time, and my comfy bed was calling.
