Monday 2nd october

Had a nearly wasted trip into LA today, as there was a holiday that I didn't know about (only in the municipality of Arona, not Adeje) so the Opticians was shut, as it is in Arona. Luckily the reception bit in the outpatients department was open, so I made an appointment for Lucy to see the Pediatrician so that I can get a medical certificate proving a clean bill of health for the nursery. Dr Padron is a lovely woman, but unfortunately the Mook doesn't see her the same way, and I know that her little mouth will turn right down at the corners when she realises what is going on.
I thought that I may as well take advantage of my mook-free state, and paid a visit to the Mango sale shop in San Eugenio, where I spent 50 euros as there were bargains galore! Realised that it is about 4 months since I've been anywhere near a clothes shop, which is most unusual for me. Hardly surprising then, that I've been feeling a bit scruffy lately.
