Tuesday 9th August

Spent the day resting on my laurels, gloating at my successful attack on the dingyness of my kitchen. The pockmarked walls have been smoothed and purified with a touch of plaster and paint, and the windows have been cleared of their fuddy duddy nets and transformed with a white venetian blind. The last vestage of bad taste to be cleared out will be the kitchen chairs which Lucy has thoughtfully tried to revamp with a blue biro motif, placed centrally on two chairs. Might have to wait a bit for these though.
