Monday 7th August

The kitchen is now a very fetching shade of blue. Lucy looked suitably surprised when she walked in, after I'd painted a big expanse of wall and announced 'boo!', which is how she says blue, so obviously all the hours spent pointing out red car, blue car, green car are starting to pay off.
Worked like a Trojan all day, and got the lot done. As a result I'm now very tired, my arms ache, my wrists and hands hurt, but I'm very pleased with myself, and it looks so much better!
Woe betide anybody who puts their feet or rocks their chair against the wall or defaces it with coloured pencils or any other method known to man(or child)kind.
