Sunday 6th August

Woke to find that the beer badgers had followed Hop in from football, and left a big pile of washing up in the sink for me. Spent the morning clearing all the junk from a kitchen cupboard which should have glassware in it, but houses a load of old rubbish. I pulled numerous phone chargers out from its depths, mostly for phones we don't use anymore, as well as plenty of hair clips, old receipts and other assorted odds and ends. I've chucked the obvious rubbish, put stuff that I may be held responsible to produce in six months time into a plastic envelope and dispersed the rest to other more appropriate recepticles around the house.
The reason for this is that I intend to rectify the scruffy state of the kitchen tomorrow, and paint it pale blue, thus starting the campaign to phase out the white walls, which after 18 months residence are starting to look a little less than white.
Pleasant evening of a nice walk up to the park, where the Mook ran bout and made friends with a little boy, and very odd little girl. Strange child who had a funny pointy little face and though it highly amusing to shrilly squeal at the top of her voice. Glad she wasn't mine.
