Friday 28th July
Yesss! the end is nigh! Have managed to get through the week relatively unscathed, despite numerous skirmishes with unco-operative children, several full scale battles between themselves, a lost key and a stroppy toddler. I checked in the mirror to see if I had any grey hairs and more wrinkles, but the only things I noticed were that my streaks need something doing about them, and I haven't had time to pluck my eyebrows so I look like a wearwolf. Hop doesn't seem to mind to much though.
Official handing over point was after Adam's birthday party in Telepiza, where the Mook had her party, although their mum was abit early so they missed the food and cake. (the best bit, if you are a kid!)
Lucy had fun bouncing on the trampolines, although she had to keep getting rescued as she nearly got flattened by a herd of galumping pre-teens, who looked as though they were going to a school disco, circa 1984. (God! you know you are getting on when you recognise styles which are now trendy because they are retro.) Adam had a great time, although he kept his mum on her toes, and was still awake at 10.30. The mook crashed out in her pushchair at about 9, so we stayed and had a few beers with the grownups, as the kids had gone, and then got a taxi home.
