Wednesday November 1st

All good holidays have to end sometime, otherwise I suppose they wouldn't be a holiday, just an ideal life! Anyway, Nats and Peach were departing this afternoon, so me and the Mook went down to observe the final stages of the 'Close Down', a military-esque procedure implemented by Nat's dad, and written out in a meticulous list. Lots of apparently superfluous directions such as push arms chairs and sofa against wall (?) although who were we to argue, and failure to comply might put a spanner in the works if Nats is to come again. The only snag was that she had lost the only key he had told her not to, when she was out running one morning. She was actually loosing sleep over it, and although the situation was hardly funny for her, there is something quite amusing about a 40 year old woman in a tizz about getting told off by her Dad. (You forget these things sometimes!)
Mook nearly caused a furore when she put her body through some railings and her head wouldn't go through so she looked like she was stuck. Luckily ex-fireman Peach was on hand to rescue her. Alas, not before the Mook suffered some physical and emotional stress, as did our eardrums.
Nats and Peach made their exit, and me and the Mook went home (on a bus, which was a new and exciting experience for her) and we were thoroughly rained on once we got back to Adeje, which was fine as it kind of suited my mood. (A good excuse to scoff biscuits and coffee whilst enjoying the numerous magazines that Nats left behind.)
