Sunday 29th October

The weather was absolutely dreadful this morning, and we had what appeared to be the River Ganges flowing down either side of our road. It would have been perfect for Action Man/Sindy white water rafting. I woke up really early for a sunday morning, due to last nights early night, and very quietly slipped out of bed and padded downstairs to make a coffee to take back up and slurp (rather smugly) whilst I read my book and the rain continued to hammer on the window.
PM we went for a lovely dinner at Chez Beber, where Lucy crashed out almost immediately and we made a makeshift bed from two big comfy chairs pulled together. A very posh couple commented on how good she was, which generally speaking she is when we're out, as she is becoming increasingly restaurant friendly. They might not have reached the same conclusion if they had been a fly on a wall in our house yesterday evening. The food was lovely, and this time round me and Nat's got our Creme Brulee. We missed out on it last time, as there was a table full of dodgy old Essex birds who scoffed it all before we could put our order in.
