Sunday 22nd October.

Peach decided to that he couldn't possibly miss the last GrandPrix, so me, Nats and the Mook had a girls only day. We had a quick scout around the market to see if there was anything half decent, and after getting pretty much trampled on by a herd of very large and bovine tourists, some of whom were rather pongy, we bid a rather hasty retreat after the buying of cheepy sunglasses for me and a bubble machine for the Mook.
Quick speed down the TF1 and we stopped off at El Medano for some tasty tapas (including Chopitos) and a look round. We found the obligatory playground for Lucy, who was over the moon. I can remember quite early on into me and Hop's relationship bringing Emma to the same playground, when she must have been about six, after having got bored at half time for one of the (not so) numerous football matches I've been dragged to over the years.
After stuffing our faces with a decidedly healthy sunday lunch, and a bit more park, we retired to the beach at the Bahia del Duque, were Lucy frolicked and played happily in the sand, running in and out of the waves whilst I tried to keep a firm hold of her hand. She got toppled once, but luckily found the experience hilarious, after which she resembled a sand monster.
All good Sundays have to come to an end, and we all enjoyed a nice early night after a quick and easy tea of bangers and mash, with peas and gravy.
