Saturday 28th October
We all trooped off to the beach again as Hop's football match was on Thursday, although the weather wasn't as good as last week. The nutty contingent of the family went on the iceberg, which really was more of an iceberg this week, whilst I tried to stay warm on the sand. Anna and Alex came as well, and we lasted approximately half an hour before Alex started thinking about his lunch. The kids lips were blue, and me and Anna had goosebumps so we decided to call it a day and take ourselves to El Gomero, which is a cheap and cheerful Canarian place, and incidently one of the first restaurants i went to when I first got here.
Spoke to Nat's who wasn't having the time of her life on La Gomera, but as Lucy was behaving in an absolutely horrendous fashion by tea time, due to the accumulative effect of lots of late nights I suggested that we have a quiet night in. Not a pretty sight or sound, and thankfully she was in bed by 7.30. I lasted until about 9, as I was really tired too, although I kept this fact quietly to myself, unlike the Mook, whose wails and hissy fit must have been heard at the top of Teide.
