Wednesday 18th October
Had an enjoyable couple of hours on the beach by the Bahia Del Duque with Nats and Peach today, sin Mook, which felt very strange for about the first 10 minutes until I relaxed into the fact that I could read a magazine. This is something which is virtually impossible with Lucy as I obviously have to keep my eyes on her, and not on pictures of expensive and delectable ankle boots.
As I'm still without 4 wheels, Peach taxied me back up to Adeje on his moto to meet Lucy, where I did a good impression of motorbike mummy. I arrived rather windswept, and can't say that I felt totally relaxed, as the last time I spent any length of time on a motorbike (about 12 years ago) I ended up coming off, through no fault of my own. Still, at least I wasn't a gibbering wreck.
Took a slow meander back through Adeje, as the Mook now insists on walking, which is rather time consuming as her little legs don't stretch as far as mine, and it would be mean to make her run all the way home. We stop off for a juice and a play in the park which is conveniently about half way, and then continue homeward bound at a leisurely pace.
