Sunday 8th october
The day started quietly enough, and managed to get a lay in until about 9ish, before I got up to continue the quest to rid the house of piles of creased clothes! Another lovely sunny day, so I took Lucy up onto the roof terrace with her paddling pool, and me with my book. I don't think that it was as warm as this this time last year.
I got a text from Nikki to say it was her son's birthday party at 4.30 and did I want to come? For some reason it was in the garage of Number 88 again. Thank goodness for the BP garage up the road which is open on a Sunday, and sells bits and bobs for kids, aswell as the usual garage stuff. We went for a bit, but I made my excuses and left by 6 as the kids just run up and down the cobbledy street bit, and Lucy was asking for a bath and story.
