Friday 6th October.
Went for dinner with an ex-manager of Hoppy's along with all the kids and the managers relatively newly pregnant girlfriend. It was quite funny listening to her concerns and worries, as I can remember having the same apprehensions and odd physical symptoms and all you want is reassurance that this is 'normal'. Poor girl is feeling really sick, and finding it difficult to eat.
The girls were very well behaved, and Emma and the Mook conked out about 10ish, while Amy revelled in the undiluted attention she could now claim. The food was delicious, if a little sparse. I have a feeling that it fitted into the 'nouvelle cuisine= stingy portions' school of cooking, although perhaps I was just being greedy, because the lamb with sage and honey was very tasty. (Just consumed in about four bites.)
