Tuesday 10th October
Still seem to be struggling through copious amounts of washing and ironing, and I'm thinking of changing my name to Widow Twanky. The walk to and from Lucy's nursery is a pleasant respite, as I spent the whole morning up to the lunchtime news doing boring housey stuff. I even cleaned the windows, which is the first time in about six months. (My excuse was that they are building a new copshop at the top of the road, and there was loads of dust from the building site.)
Lucy's latest verbal triumph, to anyone who cares to listen is 'Daddy is a boy, Oocy is a girl, Mummy is a girl' as well as the usual 'weewees on potty'. We've also been listening to lots of 'songs' which is a dvd of action ryhmes and songs that the Mook likes to demonstrate on a daily basis, when we get in from nursery. She gets very excited about the Grand Old Duke of York, as well as the section which has an assortment of children (who she refers to as 'kiddies!) doing the actions for the action songs.
I swear her smile just gets more and more captivating as the days go by. I think that it is beacuse we're over the worst part of the terrible two temper tantrums, and finally I've got my sunshine girl back again. (OG said by the time she was two and a half she would be nice again, and at the time I inwardly (and probably audibly) groaned, as it was 8 months ago. However, we are still here to tell the tale, and I am still relatively sane.

Remember how much she enjoyed Good King Wenceslas at Christmas? Fits of giggles and much clapping if I remember rightly. xx
