Sunday 14th August

Was up and out, bright and breezy. I realised that it has been ages since me and the Mook went parking, so we trundled off up to the big park before it got hot. On the way back we went to the Chinese shop for bubbles and other assorted goodies, and then a coffee at Rita's.
Lucy behaved very well and was delighted with her dolly's bath set, complete with shower, rubber duck, random bear and dolly. Equally chuffed with the bubbles, which are a different brand from before and superior in the amount created from one dip. On the way back, I treated us to crispy wantons and chicken noodles for Sunday lunch. I love chicken noodles, and they are nearly as nice as the ones that me and KT used to get from Camden market. Lucy loves them because they are a licence for messyness, and we slurped and crunched in perfect harmony, with big grins. I love it that as she gets older, we have more and more complicity in little things like this. Somehow it makes the littlest thing special.
Had a long conversation with my mum, and then a tidy up before Hop came home, as despite the cloudy start, the afternoon was a scorcher.
Geraniums are still waiting for rehoming....
