Happy Birthday to my Mum! Just think, this time last year I was enjoying the company of my brother, sister, the Gavster and of course the birthday (old)girl!! We had a very pleasant afternoon, me and my bro', sipping beers and watching live8, after having watched Gavin pulverise the overgrown hedge back into shape for Mum!
Very busy day as I had to get contact lense solution and take kids to the park for a bit in the morning. Dawdled in the chinese shop afterwards as I needed a notebook and colouring stuff for Lucy, and the girls had pocket money burning a hole in their pockets. I also had to find time for washing, tidying and cooking of umpteen kebabs to take round to Joe's.
Very nice afternoon in the same multi-cultural society as before, with the addition of two Serbians wearing Portugal shirts, and the kids had a ball despite England loosing on penalties. Hop was drinking, so I did the eating of lovely curry which Joe's brother made, and also the driving so Hop could sulk and could drown his sorrows. I had to rush around when we got back (later than planned) to pack everything up but managed it by about 10.30, as we have to get up early tomorrow.
