Wednesday 28th June

Went to the dentist, and I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be as he only looked to see what needed doing. I think that this opinion may be revised on the next D day (13th July-good job its not a Friday!) because I need a couple of fillings. I was also informed that at some point my wisdom teeth need to come out on the bottom, which sounds like it might hurt.
I got sent for an X-Ray aswell, and had to go to a clinic in San Eugenio. By this time I had Lucy with me, as I thought I'd only be able to make an appointment today, but they did the whole thing there and then. Very surprising. Only snag was that Lucy thought we were there for her and got all upset, with her little mouth turned down at the corners and real tears. Obviously she couldn't come in the room with me when they did it, and this upset her even more. She soon cheered up though when it was time to go, which thankfully came very quickly. (There are several different types of crying and this type is the worst because it distresses me to see her genuinely distressed. There are other types of crying, such as crying to get her own way which produces a horrible noise, but doesn't have the same effect on me)
To make up I bought her some wind up fish and a fishing rod for the bath. They're great as they flap their tails about and cause much mook mirth. She like the magnetic bit on the rod aswell, because it sticks to the bath. She'd happily play in there for hours, except her latest trick involves soaking the bathroom with the biggest splashes she can manage. I can see when she is about to do it because her face contorts with mischief, forcing me to pull the plug before the bathroom gets swept away in a tide of bubbles.
