Saturday 24th June

Plans for peace and quiet sort of succeeded in that rather than jostling for space in our bed, the girls were quite happy all playing in Lucy's room for a while, until the noise level increased, and I thought I might aswell get up. Still feel really tired though. Maybe I'm solar powered, because there has been no sun for nearly a week as it has been overcast.
Spent the morning continuing on the eternal quest for tidyness, a journey which dominates my life with its solitary path. As I pass along this winding road, I find I have to take one step forward, and then take two steps back. (Seriously its not that bad, although I'm a bit hacked off today as it would appear everybody else in this house is incapable of putting rubbish in the bin, anything away when they've finished with it, or flushing the toilet.)
Had to escape for some fresh air in the afternoon so me, the Mook and Murgith went for an amble up to the big park. Haven't been up there for ages with Amy, and she was amazed to see that they have put in fake grass where there were really manky rubber tiles. Photo shows them having fun together on the springy seesaw thing. On the way back we had to go to the Mercadona to get the things I'd forgotten yesturday and my faith in mankind was restored when a kind man let me go infront of him at the checkout queue even though I had a few items, because I had less than him and two small children.
Had a chat to K8t which further cheered me up, and later on to Nats, who is of the same opinion as me about Gordon Ramsay in that his food is not the only tasty thing about him. I even had a quick chat to my brother who was off out to do a spot of Monty Pythoning. I got bored waiting for BB to come on, so nipped out to get a sneaky bottle of wine (it is Saturday and Hop was already in bed) and on the way back
I saw the most glorious sight of the sunset colours reflected against the hills so that they looked as though they were on fire. Typical that the sun came out just in time to set, but truly breathtaking, none the less.
