Monday 24th July

Major outbreaks of fighting, particularly in the car as we were coming home from riding. The girls were very hot and grumpy and as we got into the garage started to beat each other up quite badly. Lots of screaming, and Lucy looking very alarmed, as she is not normally witness to this sort of thing. The situation was brought under control with a phone call from their dad, and we actually had quite a nice afternoon around the pool, and they behaved themselves all evening. I've resorted to bribery for tomorrow and have said if we get a fight free day, I'll take them to get a Mcflurry after their tea tomorrow.
The girls love their riding, and spent all evening talking about the ponies they had been riding, and what they had been doing. Amy said she had always dreamed of going horseriding, and now her dreams had come true. This kind of made up for all the fighting earlier. I'm really pleased that they like it so much and are having fun. I think I'll send Lucy when she is a bit bigger.
The Mook is in her element with her sisters here, and I think that she is going to really miss them next week. She even went in their room this morning instead of coming in for the bokbok with me, and spends all the time following them round. Not sure if their behaviour is starting to rub off on her though, as she has been quite stroppy and prone to gving Amy a whack when she tries to take her toys off her, although atleast she appears to be able to stick up for herself.
