Monday 17th July

We seem to have settled into a rather pleasant summer routine of me racing round the housework course, whilst the mook is at nursery, and then after lunch we have a pit stop round the pool for a couple of hours, whilst the Mook had fun and frolics in the water with the other kids, and I chat to my neighbour. Play was interrupted today when there were pitious squeaks from Cheyenne's direction because she had somehow got her hand stuck in the vent which sucks the water out of the pool and into the filter. The pitious squeaks reached a howling crescendo when her mum had to pull said hand out (very hard, as it was firmly wedged in). It is a bit bruised, but thankfully no bones broken. Felt very sorry for her, because it obviously hurt her quite a lot. All the other kids went very quiet for a bit. It looks like the cover has come off, and we looked about for it, but there was no sign of it, so Ellen is going to let the maintanence guy know.
Came home and after tea blew Lucy loads of bubbles, which she chased about until it was time for bath and bed. I'm sure that me and KT had a bubble machine which blew giant bubbles when we were kids. I'll have to look and see if I can find something similar to amuse the Mook with. Hop was fiddling with his guitar and the computer so I saw the second part of Silent witness, although it wasn't as gory as the night before before heading off to bed myself for a rather restless nights kip.
