Friday 21st July

Felt rather dehydrated when I woke up this morning, and didn't open my eyes until 8.15, so had to rush round to avoid being late. i avoided the call of the Mercadona and after dropping Lucy off, I came home to watch Pride and Prejudice, the one with Keira Knightly in. I was all prepared to not be too keen, as I like the BBC version with Colin Frith in, but this was a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, minus the Mook, minus the Hop and minus any interruptions. Lovely!
Dragged my sorry self round the supermarket later on, with Lucy who was very well behaved, and have had to rack my brains for good ideas for teas and packed lunched next week as we have the other two here for the week. I didn't think they were staying until Sunday, but they appeared at tea time, lock ,stock and two smoking barrels worth of fuss and palava, with much twittering and posing in their new riding boots and hats, and are now here for the duration. My pleas not to leave them with me all day on Sunday have gone unheaded, presumably because their mum wants to go out.
