Sunday 18th June
Woke up very early this morning, probably because the Mook had snuck in, and even though I had to make my own coffee today, I still luxuriated when I got back in my nice comfy bed. Couldn't loll about for long though, as unfortunately Nats and Peach went back today and I had to take them to the airport (Booooh!) I arrived at her Dads with time for a coffee and he showed me the new spiral staircase going up on to their flat roof, which they have had tiled to make an extra sun terrace. This has a view of the sea and Mount Teide (on a less hazy day). Lucy looked very pretty in her new summer dress that Natty (her name for Nats) bought for her, and of course Burt (who is starting to look rather grubby) came along for the ride.
Not being one for long goodbyes I said goodbye quite quickly and the mook and I were back home by 12.30. Had a quiet afternoon, and took ourselves off to the park for a while. The sun wasn't out, and it wasn't too hot which made a change from the last few days because it has been roasting! Think that last week has tired her out, as she was rather grumpy this evening, so I put her to bed at a very respectable 7.00pm. I then found a nice cold can of Bud in the fridge, and rang my Sis. The only trouble was I had hiccups before I'd even opened the can, which didn't sound so great. She was very pleased with herself having let herself into the garden of the (empty) flat downstairs, and had been engaging in covert barbequeing and sneaky sunbathing. Sounds like fun, all the more so because its a secret!
A fairly uneventful evening, consisting of reading the magazines that Nats left in peace and quiet (quite impossible with the Mook about as she takes them off me, so that I can give her my undivided attention!) and watching rubbish tv, waiting for BB to come on.
