Friday 16th June

Unsurprisingly felt a little below par today when I opened my eyes, and conducted my Friday morning obligations in a bleary eyed state. Managed to get it together eventually and went to the beach to meet Nats'n'Peach (sounds like a new ice-cream flavour!) and spent the afternoon recuperating on a sunbed, listening to the sound of the waves. Felt quite strange without my little Mooker, but this is perhaps to be expected as it is the first free afternoon I've had since I had her.
Had a very disappointing lunch which was described as a chicken noodle salad with basil dressing and tomato, which was really a plate of cold tagliatelle with olive oil dumped all over it, one cherry tomato, a couple of chicken shavings and a blob of basil dressing on the edge. Luckily the company more than made up for it, especially as Nats didn't want her chips....and the time just flew by.
When I went to pick up lucy, I hadn't realised that I was going for a full blown end of term show. Lucy's number involved her being part of a train. Managed to snap a few photos on my phone, to record this historic occasion and I felt decidedly underdressed having just come off the beach with windswept hair and sand between my toes. Hop didn't come to the beach, so he missed it.
Had a quiet(ish as the girls were here) evening with the ubiquitous chinese takeaway, which I'm really starting to go off. Nats and Peach spent the evening with her dad (only fair to share, as she is staying with him!) Mook fell asleep cuddled up next to me on the bean bag as Big Brother started, and Hop kept the other two awake upstairs in the hope of a lay in tomorrow.
