Friday 15th September

Usual list of chores to do on a Friday morning, except they now don't have to be completed now at breakneck speed due to the Mooks extended school hours. Ended up driving Hop later to get the girls, although I later wished that I hadn't, as he was very moany, and took exception to just about everything I did in the car. Don't think I'll offer again.
One fun thing about the journey home was that on the way back up to Adeje there must have been a classic car rally, as there was a steady procession of very old and venerable automobiles. Emma refered to them as little gadgets, and I don't think that the girls had ever seen anything quite like them before, because they were all excited, looking for the next 'gadget!'
Must have been fun, trundling along in the sunshine as most of them had open(ish) tops, and all looked lovingly polished and cared for. Somehow they just looked so much more elegant and refined than modern cars do, and somehow more personal, too. (Probably something to do with the fact that they are more 'open' than modern cars, and the drivers/occupants look less closed off.)
