Wednesday 17th August

Ahhah! I remember what happened today as we received our new car. (For car please substitute the word bus....it's huge!)Finally! After a wait of 3 months it's here!
Hop tried to get me to drive up to Puerto del la Cruz in rush hour with him in the Focus, with the Mook at her tea time, with the clutch gone, and drive it straight back down again. After due consideration I decided that in the interests of common sense and sanity I would have to decline this gracious offer.
All this meant was that he would have to wait until 8pm and get a lift up with Mohsen, as it was being delivered to his house (why, after all that money they didn't bring it down here, I do not know.)
Anyway, I fell asleep before Hop was back, and had to roused from my slumber to admire the sleek throughbred creature now residing in our garage. (The stinky Punto is sulking on the street and refused to come in.) The smell of new car and leather is already permeating up the stairs from the garage, and I just hope to god that he remembers to close its windows at night, as Furry has a not so secret leather fetish which is broadcast by the chewed bits on our sofa I have to conceal with a cushion. (Call it cat sensorship/cat protection/promotion of cordial Hop/Furry relations)
