Sunday 10th December

A very pleasant Sunday involving a leisurely stroll around Los Cristianos, with some shops open, no doubt trying to make up for the inconvieniant closures of last week. Wandered down to the seafront, and found a bargain of a sunday lunch of 6 euros, with a free view of the beach and sea and decided that it would be rude not to indulge our tummys. Made me realise how much I miss my sister, and wish that we could do things like this more often.
Spent the afternoon watching White Christmas, which was a very long film, and a bit of a damp squib, although the last scene when they are all singing White Christmas kind of made up for it. Lucy had been playing happily with a treat from the Chinese shop, which was a little dressing up set, complete with little dainty plastic shoes all afternoon. Her Dad came back from work and said 'She'll fall over in those' , and low and behold two seconds later a loud crash followed by a loud "WAHHHHH!" (Unfortunately she chose this moment to pick the plastic non-slip bits off the bottom.)
Had some more wine after the Mook was tucked up, and opened my pressies abit early. I had an Ipod from Hop, and a fantastic book which KT had had put together of the snapshots of the weekend in Lowestoft, when they all went in September, a pretty china pot, with a beachnut from the Lion Tree inside and some charms for my bracelet. Felt abit overwhelmed about book, as it was such a thoughtful thing to do. Andrew left me a beautiful late Victorian/Edwardian wooden box, which Hop had stashed away and has beautiful art-nouveau flowers inlaid on it. Feel very lucky indeed.
