thursday 27th april

Went out for a meal last night, as Dean is over here with Greta. The evening started well when we went to the wrong restaurant, and bumped into Hop's boss who kindly told us where we should be. (This woman knows everything!) Anyway, actually ended up in Rincon de Arranda, which serves really lovely spanish food. This is where we went for Hop's birthday. We got starters to share and I had some chopitos (baby cuttlefish), pimientos padron (baby green peppers, some hot, some not)and some garlic prawns. I spoilt myself with a nice juicy entrecot steak for my main course, which was cooked just to my liking, and came with three sauces. The only snag with this restaurant is the waiters, who insist on repeatedly refilling your glass of wine. This means it is very difficult to tell how much you are really drinking. As a result, I ended up very drunk, although I don't think that I annoyed anybody. Only thing is that there was a lady there with Patrick who I met for the first time, so goodness knows what she thought, especially as Lucy was with us too. (Drunk mummy is not such a great look.) Infact I am fairly aghast at my behaviour. Horrors!!! Still, I did the crime and now I'm doing the time...
Lucy, on the other hand behaved extremely well, and wowed everybody with her new cute top (curtesy of Auntie Katie), and renditions of the Balamory song. Didn't feel as though I ought to drive this morning, as I was worried I may be over the limit still, so Lucy has had a day off. (Another thing to twist on and feel guilty about). Spent this morning dossing infront of This Morning. For some reason Christine Hamilton is living on the roof of their studio. Must be missing the point, as I found myself wondering why?
Feeling slightly better now I've had a bath, although there is a pile of ironing to do, and the mook to take to the park. I'll feel really really guilty if I don't. At least it is not too sunny today. (Bank holiday weekend is looming and I have a theory that bank holidays the world over are all the same: Cloudy, with a threat of rain. I wait for monday with baited breath, and I'll let you know!) I'm also fighting a craving for a macdonalds.
