monday 24th april

Monday morning always seems to be such a struggle. I'm always manicly rushing around finding spanish books or ironing school bibs. I suppose the answer would be to arrange all this stuff so it is done before monday morning, i.e. Sunday( I don't think that I have ever done this, not in all my 33 years). It's not that I don't particularly like mondays, they just stress me out.
After depositing Lucy (late), I got to spanish (also late, or un poco tarde as they say here in sunny tenerife, which can mean 5 mins to 5 hours!)Was made to read a big chunk of the book that we are translating almost as soon as I sat down, still slightly out of breath after trotting up the road at top speed. Luckily it was the bit that I had done
Lucy was in funny mood when I picked her up. Rita called in on the way back from the Mercadona, and we went to the park with Lucy in the afternoon although we were only a few minutes because she just stood there like a little lemon, and didn't seem to want to play. Went to Rita's for a coffee and Lucy tipped water everywhere, so fortunately had a spare top for her in the push chair as the other one was soaked. She kipped all the way back, so was awake till about 9. Don't mind this once in a while, as she is one of my favourite people to spend time with.
There was a book sale on at her nursery so we bought a couple of new ones, which are in spanish (not a problem, as my spanish is up to the standard of toddlers!) One is all about shapes with pop up bits and the other is about animals with different textures to touch. She seems quite pleased with them anyway, and we looked at them together for about an hour, before she demanded the photo albums so she could look at pictures of her sisters. (Pretty much a prerequisite to bedtime)
Bt the time I'd put Lucy to bed and she was asleep it was about 9.20. Hop was glued to 24, series 2 upstairs so decided to turn in and finish Liza Dalby's Geisha book I have been reading again. Pretty boring day, so have included a picture of the Mook to jazz it up abit.
1 Comments:
Work those sunglasses baby! The mook has obviously inherited her sense of style from her mother...
