Tuesday 18th April
Woke up late this morning (08.10) and had to go into Lucys room to wake her up aswell. She had obviously been fast asleep as when she tried to get up she looked like a little foal does when they first stand up...kind of like a shakey little robot. I think that the way her hair stands up looks funny aswell. Kind of like a little lollipop ( and just as sweet!).
Anyway, after depositing her at nursery, I was all fit to do battle with spanish bureaucracy as I needed a certificado de padronimiento. This is so that Hop can change the Focus over into my name, and trafico know where to send the parking fines! A surprisingly painfree experience, and I persisted in speaking (bad)spanish which was relatively well received. Didn't come away feeling like a stupid english person who has made no effort to learn the language so this is a vast improvement for me. The lessons must be paying offas I surprise myself sometimes.
Another good thing to come of this, besides the boost to the little spanish feather in my cap is that the stinky puntos days are now numbered. Once Hop gets his new car, and I get the slinky focus, me and the Mook can go on trips further afield than Los Cristianos without fear of overheating or breaking down. The fact that it also takes too damn long to get anywhere at a top spead of approx. 90 km per hour is also a major factor whwen deciding where to go.
Did the big park thing this afternoon, although we didn't stay that long because there were quite a few older kids there and Lucy gets a bit overwhelmed. After about 20 mins she sat in her pushchair, so I took the hint! Managed to fit in abit of spanish homework before tea (beef casserole shoved in the oven before we went out, and very tasty). Stuck her in the bath before bed, so I had time to simultaneously do a pedicure and pluck my wearwolf brows before she chucked all the toys out of the bath. After LBT (Lucy's bedtime) did ironing and then watched old episodes of Sex and the City, as Hop was fiddling with the computer upstairs. Bliss! (and there was chocolate!!)
